It is finally here

The day has come, my website has been launched. Unfortunately there hasn't been any big whoop-la about it. I am still working on filling up my categories with new extremely creative and profound images, but until then enjoy what I got. How do you get there? MATT SAVAGE PHOTOGRAPHY. I know the domain is long, i am still working on a better solution. Also check back soon for updates and navigation changes.

The first word i think of when i look at this photo is drowning... that is why i named the photo drowning. It was taken last saturday at oconomowoc lake just west of milwaukee. the only editing done was tone mapping, cropping, noise and brushing around the edges.

tone mapping

today, thanks to my roomy Nereus, I acquired some software that does some pretty cool stuff with multiple exposures and tone mapping. this is my first "shot from the hip" experiment... of course future projects will take a little more thought in subject matter. None the less the outcome looks pretty interesting. (my patio/porch view)

behind the scenes

the last couple have days have been a blur, and there is too much detail to write here. with that said, tonight ended up behind the scenes at the Brewers' game photographing the choir singing the National Anthem. The coolest part was getting to step behind home plate along with stevi and her sister savannah.

Stevi and Savannah on the field.

Me getting kicked off the field... notice the lady over my shoulder yelling select words in my ear.
